A look back -- timeline for Mandatory Inclusionary Housing & Zoning for Quality and Affordability

Citywide zoning text amendment proposals entered the Community Board 60-day review period in a zoning amendment process similar to the Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP) for the city's Mandatory Inclusionary Housing and Zoning for Quality and Affordability plans in September 2015. The review period ended November 30, 2015. Community Board 11 voted for conditional disapproval of both zoning text amendments, as did the Manhattan Borough Board. Community Board 11 was absent from the Manhattan Borough Board meeting and did not vote. The City Planning Commission held a public hearing on the plans, followed by a City Council vote in favor of a revised Mandatory Inclusionary Housing and Zoning for Quality Affordability text amendments on March 22, 2016.
